Great round-up! Thanks.
Either Web Designer Depot or Web Designer Wall are my faves.
Good collection.
Nice collection.
First.
Great round up, thanks
Hey, thanks for featuring Tutorial9 Chris. Appreciate it
Outstanding collection!
Nice sum up Chris…. Some of them is new for me… thanks for sharing !!
Nice list! I love vector!
Thanks!
Very nice.
Beautiful collection! Thx for posting this.
Volll is absolutely insane!:)
Yep, some nice designs here
wow..that’s a great list to look out..creative designer!thanks a lot
Navigant Consulting website is just better than perfect – a great example of strong branding on the web.
Some of the examples are just too crowded with the vector elements. Or that’s just not my taste
Thanks for the inspiration.
bloody amazing stuff
Nice list but you never should include your own site.
coolness! i like it!!:)
The Girl from Stoodeo and eAnka have the same laptop
Free webhosting service web Freehostia (http://freehostia.com/) should be there too. I had my blog there and I found their corporate web’s vectored design pretty cool.
Cheers
great review! very nice!
these are beautiful! great list.
Seriously, there were some beauties in this collection. Way to go!
Wow, what a list! I’ve never seen most of these, and am wonder why I haven’t. Amazing!
Am I the only one to see that a lot of the designs are clones of each other?!
Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate all the work behind a list like this, but repetition is a big turn off.
It’s interesting how the fixed-width center column layout has become so dominant! I really like that Acko site!
Great round up. I’ll have to add this page to my Inspiration bookmark folder. Thanks!
love the wp coder site
apart from a few exceptional illustrators, DivVoted, The Alamo Basement – and like 2 others…..
are all the rest by the same designer? seriously, i’m kind of disappointed about the “insanely good” title – and overused frill elements that are the hype of every non-creative, creative type. very template, very boring.
great stuff, as always from vectortuts
Insanely good? Some of these are awesomely bad.
Great list Chris. Theres some nice inspiration to be found amongst some of them.
The Toucouleur BG is almost 3 Mb!!!
That is just insanely bad design. No compression whatsoever???
Chris, you always do a great job with posts like this!
http://twitter.com/Colorburned
Great list as there are some new ones for me!
The thing is though, there’s a few of them that are using stock vectors so they’re not really unique in that sense.
Thanks for featuring the GoMediaZine Chris!
Thank you.
I refer to the designs of this post.
why would you call this “vector-based”? simply because the elements were created in a vector program? (although not necessarily).
do these websites scale without showing pixels?
please use the right terminology.
just found out that webdesignerwall, n-designstudio, and next2friend was designed by the same person.. Nick La! A great artist it is.
Nice collection
Great job, love the post. http://www.vixml.com is another site for consideration.
sweet…
some of them I already knew
Nick La does have a strong presence there and rightly so I think. Other good examples on there too though, some of which I already knew of and yes, that might just include a particular snuck in mention of ones own blog!
Thanks for sharing Chris.
Alex | Zen Elements
I’d suggest the http://fireeagle.yahoo.net/ site as well, slightly different feel, more pixellated illustration, but lovely example of illustrative web design.
nice and useful! Thanks!
@Oz : we made Such a big backgound because we had no other choice to manage multiple layers using CSS
In 2, 3 years, when network speed will be improved, 3mb would mean nothing as time to load
Excellent work as usual Mr. Spooner! Massive source of inspiration here.
Nice list. If you like illustrated web designs check out cssillustrated.com
These are great, I only know about half of them, so it is nice to see a load of inspiring new sites. And of course Web Designer Wall (been my favourite for a while now).
Thanks for posting Chris!

Very nice, love the way the background on the silverback site was done when you resize the window! Clever stuff!!
Thanks for the list, you’re right they are insanely good! I love colour pixel!
