I wonder if this shows how to make mock ups instead of making the real thing.

Are you interested in mock-ups? This tut shows how to use a design for various outputs and then has an in-depth analysis of the different ways to promote yourself and your business. We don’t have any tuts on the subject of print mockups at this time, but if you head over to PSD tuts there’s a round-up from design week that may be interesting to you – http://psd.tutsplus.com/articles/web/make-your-design-work-look-awesome-with-a-product-mockup/

I’ve written the tut to have heaps of advice ( 4,000 words of it) with some design tips thrown in. Self promo is really about designs that represent your business/folio so drawing what I draw won’t help many people :)

wish I could afford a premium membership. I’ve been wanting to do this kind of stuff for a long time…

Do you have a premium membership? If so, please let me know what part you’re having trouble with. Like I mentioned before – It’s over 4,000 words long and goes into great detail about how to use each element to properly promote yourself online.
