This tutorial covers the process of creating detailed mesh illustrations. It goes into detail regarding this process, especially the design of the boxing gloves, though the boxing ring ropes also have a mesh applied. There are numerous other details in this tutorial as well, like the use of a Scribble effect for the the main text.

    Wow, looks very nice! I’ve met a lot of people who want to learn more about the gradient mesh tool, and I’m sure that this tutorial will do just that. Too bad it’s a plus tutorial…it sure makes me want to sign up!

    I think this looks awesome! I have avoided gradient mesh b/c i am not too sure what it does, but the boxing glove result looks super realistic. I would totally get punched in the face with those gloves!

    Not trying to knock VectorTUTS, but I don’t understand why people are saying they’d sign up for PLUS just for meshing…

    You trace it. Then you mesh it. Play around with the tool for about an hour and you should have no problem understanding it…
