2009, Big % Increase & GraphicRiver Beta Invites

Looking back on last year, Envato had a pretty big 2008 by any measure. We jumped from 4 sites to 13, a million monthly visitors to 5 million, and while our team began the year numbering 12, we ended it totalling 55 talented reviewers, editors, managers, developers, writers and support staff. With such a crazy year in the rearview mirror, it is with no small excitement that I can say that 2009 is going to make 2008 pale in comparison. And today I’m here to make a huge announcement for all the authors of our marketplaces, give beta invites for a major new site, and give sneak previews for some of our Envato plans!

1,000,000 Pageviews and a Design Makeover

With Halloween tomorrow it must be that another month has raced past bringing VECTORTUTS to the ripe old age of … 5 months. So I checked our Analytics today to see that October has brought a big milestone for Sean and the team – 1 million pageviews! That’s some seriously fast growth for a new site and I wanted to say congratulations to all the writers and the team, and especially to Sean who really pushed to have this site built back in June.

Solving Poverty Badges & Tees for Sale – BAD08 Comp Winners

As you may recall from 2007′s super successful campaign, the premise behind Blog Action Day is to get the world’s bloggers to unite to post on one important issue on the same day.
