    I agree with Nick. I have registered for SitePoint samples in the past and don’t like the way I am pestered afterwards. If you want me to explore a free sample, just put it up and maybe I’ll be interested. Don’t ask me for my email address.

    As a non-subscriber, I thought there’d at least be a preview or something? I’d prefer to know what kind of skill level this is, what kind of tips there are, programming language, photos, etc, before subscribing. For $108, I could purchase a several printed instruction books.

    Not trying to put down the amount of work that’s gone into this, I’m sure someone’s spent a lot of time on it, but not going to buy anything sight unseen. :(

    I don’t mind divulging my email address, but address and phone number is a different thing entirely. I did download this guide and it consists of the first two chapters of Elliot Stocks’ book “Sexy Web Design: Creating Interfaces that Work.” These chapters deal with design philosophy and I did find them useful so I’m not complaining much.

    What this really is, is a plug for the book which is available via Amazon at a lower price than what SitePoint charges for just the pdf. On Amazon, it has mixed reviews with most being positive.
