I started doing vectors for fun in 2003, after spending a long time drawing maps for a certain company. After that I went into business for myself you personal portraits and printing them onto canvas. I now work for a printers doing all the graphic design work that comes in. Mainly involves re-drawing clients logos to get the best possible printing. As well as doing vectors for clients in my own time.

This is my girlfriends cat. He is called Charles, but she calls him Sir Charles, as he thinks he own the place. It took about 3 hours 50 minutes to do this in Adobe Illustrator CS2. I hope it helps people do vectors with animals in the future.

Your work is outstanding and I especially love your technique on the fur! I am a noob with AI and am attempting a portrait of my Mom’s pomeranian as a gift…your Sir Charles is a huge inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope you will consider a tutorial.
