@Greg- I think you did it correctly, and at first when I did it, I though I had the same problem, but if you delete it with the instructions, the duplicate ball underneath is still there and so it looks like nothing happened. You can make the first layer invisible by clicking the eye, and you should then see the shape.

Great tutorial, but I wasn’t able to get beyond Step 18. When I placed the larger circle over the ball, and then deleted it, nothing happened. There was no crescent shaped left on the ball. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Nice tutorial! I had to figure a few things out for myself which took a little while due to lack of detail in the instructions, but that’s simply because I’m brand spanking new at Flash and need EVERYTHING spoon fed. But, I ended up learning more by problem solving.
