thanks for the great tutorial.
the effect using the calligraphy brush reminds me of the stuff that hydro74 comes up with (not nearly as detailed, but still reminds me of it)

been looking for an easy-ish way of recreating that style.
excited to try this on some projects.

Ah, I figured it out :-).You just need to select the Blob Tool (totally didn't read that, my bad). The shortcut is Shift+B.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Everything is going great (thanks a bunch for that, Chad) but when I get to Step 9 and start erasing some of my outlines, it cuts my outlines in half and become one consistent 9pt line (instead of the silky smooth pressured line)...

I really appreciate the work put into this tutorial. Its definitely very informative and exactly what I needed to start making designs for T-shirts. Keep up the good work.

And the blob brush is the most awesome tool! I love it!

You'd actually use white as a colour. So, the white base i had created would have to be used.

Great tutorial!

If you are going to print this onto a black or any color t-shirt, how would you go about creating a white under base shape in illustrator? Would you just select all object and in pathfinder select add shape to area?

Again, great tutorial!

Am I being really dense here. When I try using the eraser tool all the strokes I have just get cut in half and I ruin my outlines. What am I doing wrong??

What a great tutorial!! And thanks for going into such a detailed explanation. Skulls do look good; especially as Halloween is nearing....they’ll be in demand. Thanks for the global color tip.
