Ok, for anyone who cares, I fixed the problem ( see above ). In " 3D revolve " DON'T FORGET TO TICK " DRAW HIDDEN FACES "! If you don't, the preview mode in CS3 will show the back of the bottle but when you output it no longer exists or is visible. I'm wondering if this is a bug inherent to CS3 ( a friend of mine works in CS2 and when I sent the file to him asking for a solution, he told me that his image was opaque right from the start ). This is a crucial step to follow for the correct results so I thought it worth mentioning.

I did the tut, great, no problem except the confusion regarding the "expand" issue, BUT...How do you output this to a flattened image file ( JPEG, for example )? The transparency of the bottle is flattened and the bottle in no longer transparent! It looks great in Illustrator but no matter how I export it, TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PDF, even PSD with layers conserved, I'm running into the same problem. The back of the bottle disappears. My individual strokes are at 35% and each selection in the group is set to default ( 100% ) transparency. This is driving me nuts. Any insight on this? And thanks for the tut, very enlightening.

This comes from a 3D environment but the great thing is to be able to simulate that on illustartor without having to go all the way to 3D app.

That's a great tutorial, thx very much for sharing.
