My subject is Stella, a Labradoodle puppy owned by Fiona Hooley, known to many as Chix0r, the Director of Community Operations at deviantART.

Awesome work! I kiss your hands :)
Hehe thank you Laroslav :)
Yah, the fur and other details add so much sheen and realism, love it. I also love to see the sketching process done in Photoshop with combing quickly various photos and then Wacom drawing over the photo, this prep process can save loads of time. Everyone, there are some spectacular tips in this tutorial. Awesome project Shar.
Thank you Sean, I think in terms of a tutorial with a variety of techniques, this is a really good one. If you’ve never tried using the 3D tool, meshes, warps, brushes, the appearance panel etc… this is definately a good tutorial to give you an introduction to these tools.
I’m especially proud of this tutorial because of this :)
OMG!!!! It is Gorgeous! Can’t wait to try it.
The tutorial says CS5 and I only have CS4, is there any feature CS4 is lacking to complete this Tut?
There is only one portion you’d need CS5 for, but it’s such a small section that I think you could create the whole thing without it and still get very similar results :)
Thank you very Sharon :)
High professional level. That’s what i come here for.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Thank you for the feedback :)
Very cool.
OMG! What a quality! Hair, eyes, nice!
But that blue background sucks ;D
The tut is about how to make the portrait, if you want to add a different background you can :)
I might get me a premium membership just to check this out!
I’m living back in the dark ages of CS2 though….Will I still be able to do most of the tutorial and approximate the bits I cant?
Cheers
