Most (99%) of my fabrics are rotary screen printed. I do some digital work but only on rare occasion.

Thanks for the kind words.... and help! I kept asking people how to make global color changes in Illustrator and kept getting "work arounds" that didn't cut it for me. The double click global change is my dream come true. :)

My pleasure, I hope it works out for you :)
Are your textiles digitally printed or screened?

I really love your collection.

No repayment necessary, I'm just happy that people like the tut.

If you have to use compression (for Tif) I would suggest LZW for designs with flat colours (as it is most effective when compressing solid indexed colours) and Zip for photographic style images. Both are lossless.

THANK YOU! You have NO idea how happy I am to have read this post. I have been struggling with making the change from Freehand to Illustrator for my textile design work and with your info on color management I now am ready to take the plunge! It was the missing link and YOU gave it to me. HUGE gratitude! If there is any way I can repay the favor - please let me know.

Brilliant tutorial! Only thing missing: How to compress if necessary. With Spoonflower's doll panel contest, I was basically stuck. Had to design on a full yard - and that's a 99mb Tif.

I hope I got compression right, it looks okay on screen; and I can't order a test yard before the competition.

Thanks! It's brilliant. It solves a different problem that I've been having with a class lesson.
