    Good tutorial and useful for Inkscape users as well who use SVG, since blur won’t work depending on the DE libraries you use(qsvg for example). Just duplicate a load of strokes around the object and vary then in opacity down to zero will get you a shadow effect.

    Interesting, but way too much work for what it achieves. Plus if you need to change the color, it makes it a pain in the butt. In any case… this technique is hard to manage. No thanks.

    For dynamic objects, like text for ex., this metod is great (make one smooth shadow and just apply to any textblock you like), for static it’s best to use blends+offset path, imho =)
