Great tutorial, but was I the only one looking for the “Razor” tool instead of the eraser?

I’m all over Photoshop, but I am learning so much about illustrator from your tuts. Thanks vector tuts!

Nice idea! I like it, but also there is a much easier way to do this, and I mean create 3 different brushes: thin-thick-thin, thick-thin and blunt thick-thin. However, this method is very technical and you won’t get those artistic imperfections.

I’m really fond of classic, hand-drawn illustrations, so all i can say is…

    GREAT TIPS!

one quick note, which you may already know, but if you place an image on a layer and change it to a “template” layer, it locks it and makes it 50% opacity. just a tiny bit quicker

      Hey neunen,

Yeah, template layer is a quick and easy way to do that, though I like to have the ability to manually adjust transparency/ blending mode while I’m Illustrating.. its just a matter of personal preference I guess.
